Globetrucker Reports and articles are available. For now,
these texts and pictures are still available free of charge. To receive it,
please contact us at contact @ globetrucker .org and indicate which
publication and which preferred language (French, German, English).
Internet
The Internet is the main link of the tour with the URL
www.globetrucker.org. This
reference is written in capital letters on the truck so that it may be
easily spotted on the road or on any picture of the vehicle. For the
moment a provisional website is in place. It aims at providing general
information about the project. The extensions .net and .com are also
registered. The website allows for the follow-up of the tour,
communication with the media and promotion of the partners. A space will
be booked for the press, which will allow to download press releases and
high definition pictures.
On this page you will find references of reports
published or to be published in newspapers, magazines, radio or television
while on tour
Team communication
Its role is to communicate the progress of the
tour and inform the media on the itinerary anywhere in the world. It
collaborates with the press services of our partners, particularly the IRU
and the GRSP. Several translators or voluntary redactors make part of the
team. The internet and the satellite communication in the vehicle itself
will allow for the maintenance of contact with the team.
Presse écrite
During the tour, local media are contacted prior to arrival in every
stopover and official destination.
Today, several newspapers have published about
Globetrucker, as far as in South Africa. Different specialised magazines
have already shown their interest in publishing regular reports about the
tour
Radio & TV
The basic video equipment carried in the vehicle allows for the supply of
visual documents. Several stopovers, defined before the start, will
represent a possible meeting point for journalists. A third seat and bunk
in the truck can be used by one of them on defined routes.
The Swiss national radio and television have already
indicated their interest in the project. Several local and national
televisons have presented a report during the first tour in
2002-2003-2004-2005-2006. Other TV stations will be contacted by the
contact team during the realization of the different trips.
Press breifing
Press conferences are organised together with our partners in the
different stopovers in order to share the humanitarian message and make
some advertising about the project
